Proponent Battery Services GmbH provides services, products and technical solutions for a safe power supply in aircraft. Our goal is to deliver “Best in Class” Quality in all of our activities.

Beside our core market aviation we are also providing excellent technical solutions for non-aviation markets such as industrial, UPS and solar system applications.

Frankfurt Airport*, Germany is a major international airport and the biggest airport in Germany. Some of our clients based at FRA appreciate the short distance and thus fast reaction time – especially in case of AOG. With moving into our new facility with a bigger warehouse and up to date technical setup we create the foundation for further growth in the aviation sector.

Respect for the environment is a Proponent Battery Services GmbH priority. Our sold batteries are emissions-free and we are reducing their entire environmental footprint. We take legal requirements on health and safety and environmental protection as a minimum.

Proponent Battery Services GmbH and our suppliers are aware of that Batteries contain valuable resources. Our main business partners are using eco design principles and tools to improve the batteries and use continuously more recycled materials in their products. This is made possible thanks to a worldwide “bring back network” where Proponent Battery Services is part of.

We also take back used batteries from the other Commercial Batteries segment and ensures that these batteries are handed over to a certified disposal company/recycler.

Proponent Battery Services GmbH is an Authorized Distributor for all leading manufacturers of aircraft batteries and spare parts and holds the aerospace service and maintenance approval in accordance with EASA Part-145 (Reference DE.145.0118) and is certified as “Known Consignor” (“bekannter Versender”) (EC) 300/2008 (Registry No. DE/KC/01150-01/0318).

The company is Part 145 certified by the German aviation authority, the Luftfahrtbundesamt. In 2017 the FAA also approved Proponent Battery Services as a repair station (Certificate Number RD0Y308Y).

Since 2022 Proponent Battery Services obtained CA/UK Maintenance Service Approval (reference UK.145.01665).

The company is an Authorized Distributor for manufacturers such as Saft, Marathon, Hawker.
The product line also covers Concorde and Gill lead-acid batteries.

Furthermore, Proponent Battery Services GmbH offers a vast variation of unique Test Equipment to support its Airlines & MRO customers world wide and is a well recognized Service Center for aviation batteries and test equipment.

The customers of Proponent Battery Services GmbH comprise national and international airlines, regional and business airlines, Helicopter Operators and MRO-Companies. A large number of customers attend the company’s battery trainings in Moerfelden-Walldorf which are offered on a regular basis as a special service.
